Eckles welcomes Colonials Weekend visitors

Eckles Library will be open our regular fall hours for Colonials Weekend, October 20th-22nd. We invite all alum and parents to come in and meet us and get some information about library services we offer. Also, take a few minutes to take in both art exhibits that we currently have on display in our gallery spaces:


"Mount Vernon students: Then and now" illustrates a history of student life on campus through fascinating photographs and archival memorabilia.


"To the Light" is presented to commemorate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and shows, in photographs, the life journey of Patricia Kinney, a long-term survivor of breast cancer.

From October 3rd-27th, Eckles is hosting an exhibit of photographs showing the journey of a long-term breast cancer survivor through her treatment to her successful 10-year anniversary. We invite you to stop in to view the exhibit during all of our open hours.
We will also host a free opening reception with our survivor, Patricia Kinney, and participants from our partners, the GW Cancer Institute. The reception is from 5:30-7PM on Tuesday, October 10th, and all are invited to attend!!
